Totally addicted to Vape

I was a smoker, not a heavy chain smoker, but a 5-10 ciggy a day smoker nonetheless. I am going to be honest with you, I loved a coffee and a cigarette, a chat and a cigarette or indeed just a cigarette! I started young, I was 16 and I can't really blame anyone but myself. Yes my friends were at it and I bought into it, but they didn't make me buy the second, third and god knows how many other packets over the years. But I have to admit that I loved smoking, I loved my habit and the joy it brought me, but one day I decided I would try something new.  Chances are if you are reading this then you have sown the seeds of change or are contemplating such a move.

I was in that place about nine months ago. I had heard about these new e-cigarettes and the phenomenon of vaping. I thought I would give it a go but was admittedly sceptical.  I thought this was going to be a fad, a gimmick that would sit in a drawer after the novelty had worn off. If all else failed, I was content that it would be my party piece, akin to the cat in Alice in wonderland, blowing out delightful shapes of vapour to rapturous applause. But it wasn't like that at all, I loved it so much more.

I felt that I was in control, I had the freedom to choose what I wanted to vape and where I wanted to do it. The choice of flavours was a big attraction and something I had to get my head around. Would I be interested in a passion fruit experience or would I opt for a more regular liquid hit? The beauty was that I no longer had to have a coffee and a cigarette, I could now have a coffee flavoured ecig!

It took me a while to find out what worked best for me, but for once being hooked was not such a bad thing. I have more free time, not having to take extended smoking breaks outside. I can take a sneaky pull practically anywhere I like and when I return, I no longer drag that odious odour along with me, just the memories of a smooth fruity fling with my ecig.

As I said though, I loved smoking, but I love vaping so much more and this is the important part, it is about what is best for you. I still have the occasional cigarette, one or two every 6 months or so but I'm ok with that. For me vaping comes first. I am now a vaper first and guilty pleasure smoker second. I have shifted the balance and don't they say that everything is about finding the right balance?
